The QR code reportedly redirected users to a YouTube video, leading to widespread reactions from students on social media. Following the incident, YouTube India shared its own QR code on social media, inviting students preparing for exams to scan it and watch a “must-watch” video. Interestingly, the QR code led to the same viral music video that had earlier appeared when students scanned the code on the Maths exam paper.
Why the CBSE Maths Paper QR Code Went Viral?
The discussion started after the CBSE Class 12 Mathematics exam held on 9 March 2026. Students discovered that scanning the QR code printed on some question paper sets opened a popular YouTube music video, which quickly became a trending topic online. The situation created confusion among students and parents, with some questioning whether the question paper had been compromised. However, instead of a motivational clip, the QR code led viewers to the same song that had gone viral during the exam discussion. Many students reacted humorously online, joking that “no CBSE was harmed” during the trend.
