BPSSC Conducts Bihar Police SI Mains 2026; Exam Day Guidelines Out

The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has commenced the Bihar Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Mains 2026 examination on 18 January 2026 across various examination centres in Bihar. The recruitment drive aims to fill multiple Sub-Inspector positions under the Bihar Police cadre. This phase follows the preliminary written test and requires candidates to adhere to strict guidelines issued by the commission to ensure orderly conduct and integrity throughout the assessment process.

Exam Schedule and Reporting Guidelines

The SI Mains exam is being conducted in two shifts on the day:

  • First shift: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with reporting by 8:30 AM
  • Second shift: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, with reporting by 1:00 PM

Late entry after gate closing time is strictly prohibited at all centres.

Carry Mandatory Documents and Admit Card

Candidates are required to bring the official BPSSC SI Mains admit card along with a valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Voter ID. These documents are essential for verification and entry into the examination hall.

Prohibited Items and Conduct Rules

To maintain fairness and prevent malpractice, BPSSC has enforced stringent rules regarding prohibited items. The following are not allowed inside examination centres:

  • Mobile phones and smart devices
  • Bluetooth or wireless communication gadgets
  • Electronic equipment such as calculators
  • Any unauthorised materials or papers

Possession of these items may lead to cancellation of candidature and other penalties.

Biometric and Security Measures

Security arrangements at exam centres include biometric attendance and videography monitoring to verify candidates and deter any unfair activities during the test. Jammers and police presence have been deployed across centres to strengthen examination security.
