BITS Pilani has scheduled the session 1 test city allotment for BITSAT 2026 on March 28, 2026. This step is crucial as it confirms the exam centre city where candidates will appear for the entrance test. Registered candidates can access the city allotment through the official BITSAT portal at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. A direct link to check the city will be available on the portal on the release date.
What is BITSAT Test City Allotment?
The test city allotment assigns candidates to one of the preferred cities selected during the application. Key points:
- Candidates could choose three preferred cities in the BITSAT 2026 application form.
- Authorities assign one city based on seat availability, number of applicants, and regional distribution.
- Allotment ensures candidates can take the exam in a nearby, convenient location.
Note: First preference may not always be guaranteed due to high demand.
How to Check Your BITSAT Allotted Test City?
Follow these steps:
- Visit the official BITSAT admission portal.
- Click on the test city allotment link.
- Log in using application number and password.
- Check the allotted city on the screen.

BITSAT Test City Allotment vs Slot Booking
Candidates often confuse city allotment with slot booking, but they are distinct:
- Test city allotment: Confirms exam centre city only.
- Slot booking: Selects exam date and time, done on a first-come-first-served basis.
Slot booking window for BITSAT 2026 session 1: March 29 to March 31, 2026.
Can BITSAT Candidates Change the Allotted City?
- Generally, candidates cannot change the allotted city after release.
- Form corrections and city preference edits are allowed before the allotment.
- Post-allotment changes are rare and allowed only in exceptional cases.
