Yuva Sangam Phase VI registration has commenced under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative. The Ministry of Education has invited eligible youth to apply online through the official EBSB portal. The programme aims to strengthen national integration through structured exchange visits.

 

Yuva Sangam Phase VI Eligibility and Application Process

Yuva Sangam is an initiative of the Department of Higher Education designed to promote the idea of unity in diversity. It provides a platform where young individuals from different states and Union Territories engage in cultural and educational exchange.

 

Candidates aged between 18 and 30 years are eligible to register. The following categories can apply:

 

The programme is open to eligible youth across the country. Applicants must complete the online application process through the official EBSB portal within the notified timeline.

  • Students from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
  • Volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS)
  • Members of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS)
  • Young professionals from various fields

 

Yuva Sangam Programme Structure and Benefits

Selected participants will travel to their paired state or Union Territory as part of the exchange programme. The visit will last 5 to 7 days, excluding travel time.

  • Visit educational institutions and key local sites
  • Learn about regional traditions, languages, food habits and lifestyle
  • Understand development practices followed in different regions

The initiative encourages cross-cultural understanding and strengthens bonds among youth from diverse backgrounds.

 

Participation Data and Institutional Involvement

The programme has received strong participation since its launch. During Phase V, more than 46,000 registrations were recorded from across India. Since the pilot phase in 2022, over 6,000 participants and coordinators have been part of the initiative. Several premier higher education institutions have organised exchange tours under different phases. For Phase VI, a total of 22 institutions have been selected as nodal centres to conduct the programme.

 

Alignment with National Education Policy 2020

Yuva Sangam aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020. The initiative follows a “Whole of Government” approach, bringing together ministries, state governments, departments and institutions.

 

Through collaborative implementation, the programme aims to offer meaningful experiential learning opportunities while reinforcing the spirit of national unity and shared identity among young citizens.
