UP Special TET 2026 Eligibility

The examination is primarily meant for teachers working at the primary and upper-primary levels in Uttar Pradesh, along with eligible special educators working with Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Around 2,500 special educators are expected to be covered under the Special TET process.

Primary Level Eligibility

Candidates applying for the Primary Level Paper for Classes 1 to 5 must fall under the prescribed teacher or special educator categories and meet the required educational qualifications.

The eligibility routes include qualifications such as Senior Secondary with the required marks along with a recognised Diploma in Elementary Education, or graduation with the prescribed teacher-training qualification.

Upper Primary Level Eligibility

For Classes 6 to 8, candidates can qualify through prescribed combinations of graduation and professional teaching qualifications, including B.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed or B.Ed in Special Education, as applicable.

UP Special TET 2026 Application Fee

The application fee varies according to the candidate's category. The fee is the same for the Primary and Upper Primary papers.

Candidates must pay the fee through the prescribed online payment method while submitting the application.

UP Special TET 2026 Exam Pattern

UP Special TET 2026 will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 150 marks. Candidates will get 150 minutes to complete the paper.

There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The question paper will generally be available in Hindi and English, except for language-specific questions.

UP Special TET 2026 Syllabus

The syllabus is divided into two papers based on the teaching level. Paper I is for the primary level, while Paper II is for the upper-primary level.

For Paper II, the final 60 questions depend on the candidate's teaching subject.
