Admission Process Beyond Cut-Offs

While meeting the departmental cut-off mark is a prerequisite, UI clarified that Post-UTME scores, availability of slots, and catchment area considerations will also determine final admission. In addition, candidates from Educationally Less Developed States (ELDS) may benefit from slightly lower cut-offs in select programmes.

Reactions from Candidates and Parents

The announcement has been met with relief by students, parents, and guardians after weeks of speculation. For many aspirants, the cut-off list signals the final stretch in the admission race, particularly in highly sought-after courses such as Medicine, Nursing, Law, and Engineering. With competition expected to intensify, applicants are now preparing for the next stages of the admission process as the university begins final selections.
