NTA has issued a Delhi travel advisory for UGC NET 2026 re-exam candidates appearing on September 9 and 10. Candidates should check routes, leave early and allow extra travel time.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a UGC NET 2026 re-exam travel advisory for candidates whose examination centres are located in Delhi. The advisory has been released ahead of the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination scheduled for September 9 and 10. Candidates have been advised to plan their journey in advance and leave early to avoid delays in reaching their examination centres.
The travel advisory is particularly important for candidates appearing in Delhi as traffic restrictions and movement-related arrangements around the BRICS Summit are expected to affect travel times. NTA has advised candidates to check their routes beforehand, keep additional travel time and reach the examination centre well before the reporting time.
UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam: Delhi Travel Advisory
The UGC NET 2026 re-exam for three subjects — English, Commerce and Sociology — will be conducted on September 9 and 10. NTA has specifically issued the Delhi travel advisory to help candidates avoid difficulties caused by possible traffic restrictions and longer journey times.
Candidates appearing at examination centres in Delhi should check their allotted centre and plan their route before leaving for the exam. NTA has advised candidates to start their journey early and keep sufficient additional time in hand.
The advisory does not change the UGC NET 2026 re-exam date or examination timing. Candidates must follow the details mentioned on their admit cards.

Candidates should check the examination centre, reporting time and other instructions mentioned on the UGC NET 2026 admit card before leaving for the examination.
UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam: Why Has NTA Issued the Advisory?
The Delhi travel advisory has been issued because candidates may face longer travel times due to traffic restrictions and movement arrangements in the national capital. The 18th BRICS Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 11 to 13.
Although the summit begins after the UGC NET re-examination dates, arrangements and restrictions ahead of the event could affect traffic movement in Delhi. NTA has therefore advised candidates to make travel arrangements in advance and avoid last-minute delays.
UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam: Why Is the Exam Being Conducted Again?
The UGC NET 2026 re-exam is being conducted for English, Commerce and Sociology after an expert committee reviewed complaints and identified issues in the affected question papers. The concerns included factual, grammatical and typographical errors, translation-related issues and repetition of questions.
The re-examination will be conducted without charging an additional examination fee from candidates who are required to appear for the affected papers. The English paper will be conducted on September 9 in the first shift, Commerce on September 9 in the second shift and Sociology on September 10 in the first shift.
