The UGC NET Commerce re-exam 2026 will therefore begin at 3 PM and conclude at 6 PM, while candidates appearing for the UGC NET English re-exam 2026 will take the test from 9 AM to 12 Noon.

Why Is UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam Being Conducted?

The UGC NET June 2026 re-exam is being conducted for three subjects after NTA received several complaints regarding the question papers. An expert committee was constituted to examine the concerns raised by candidates.

After reviewing the papers, the committee found multiple issues, including factual errors, typographical errors, translation and language-related errors and repetition of questions from previous examinations. NTA subsequently decided that the affected papers should be conducted again to maintain fairness in the examination process.

The re-examination applies only to candidates who appeared for the affected subjects. The remaining 84 subjects are not part of this re-examination.

UGC NET English Re-Exam 2026

The UGC NET English re-exam 2026 will be conducted on September 9 in Shift 1 from 9 AM to 12 Noon.

Candidates who appeared for the English paper during the June 2026 examination should appear for the fresh examination according to the new schedule. They should check their admit card carefully for the examination centre, reporting time and other instructions.

The re-examination is being conducted as a fresh test for the affected candidates, and candidates should prepare according to the prescribed UGC NET English syllabus 2026.

UGC NET Commerce Re-Exam 2026

The UGC NET Commerce re-exam 2026 will also be held on September 9, but in the afternoon shift. The UGC NET Commerce exam timing 2026 is 3 PM to 6 PM.

Candidates appearing for the Commerce re-exam should reach their allotted examination centre well before the reporting deadline. They should also carry the documents mentioned in their admit card and follow all examination-day instructions.

The UGC NET Commerce re-exam is applicable to candidates who appeared for the Commerce paper in the June 2026 session.

UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam: No Additional Fee

Candidates appearing for the UGC NET June 2026 re-exam do not have to pay any additional examination fee. NTA is conducting the fresh examination for the affected subjects without charging candidates another fee.

Candidates therefore do not need to submit a fresh application form for the re-examination. The re-exam is being conducted for candidates who had already appeared for the respective papers during the June session.
