UG Admissions 2025 Mop-Up Round Held for Vacant Seats on September 23

The Delhi University (DU) has conducted the on-the-spot mop-up round allocations for UG admissions 2025 today, September 23, 2025. The process was held in person at the DU campus to fill vacant seats across colleges and programmes.

DU UG Mop-Up Round 2025: Seat Availability and Participation

Despite multiple admission cycles, around seven thousand to seven thousand five hundred seats remained vacant across various colleges and courses. The mop-up round provides an opportunity for eligible candidates to secure admission based on merit. Candidates who received an invitation letter were required to report in person on the specified date and time. No representatives were allowed to attend on behalf of the candidate. Entry to the Multipurpose Hall was permitted only on the basis of the invitation letter.

Documents Required for DU UG Admission Mop-Up Round

Candidates needed to carry the following documents during the on-the-spot admission process:

  • Printout of the Invitation Letter
  • Printout of the CSAS (UG) Form
  • Class XII Marksheet and Certificate
  • Class X Marksheet/ Date of Birth Certificate
  • Valid Government of India identity card (Aadhar Card/ Passport)
  • Reservation/Category Certificate (if applicable)

Failure to pay the admission fee online immediately at the time of seat allotment resulted in cancellation of the allotted seat, which was then offered to the next candidate on the merit list.

Travel and Entry Guidelines for Candidates

Delhi University advised candidates to use the Delhi Metro (Yellow Line) to reach Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station. Candidates were permitted to bring water bottles or essential items, and a maximum of two guardians or accompanying persons were allowed entry along with the candidate. For further details on the DU UG admission process and updates, candidates were instructed to refer to the official Delhi University website.
