The Staff Selection Commission is expected to issue the SSC CGL 2026 notification in March 2026. The notification will initiate the recruitment process for various Group B and Group C posts in central government departments and ministries. The Combined Graduate Level Examination is conducted annually to recruit eligible graduates for administrative, financial and enforcement roles across ministries and attached offices.

 

SSC CGL 2026 Application Form and Eligibility Criteria

The online application form will be activated after the notification is published on the official SSC portal. Candidates will be required to complete registration within the prescribed deadline mentioned in the notification. Applicants must satisfy the following basic eligibility conditions before applying:

  • Age Limit: Generally between 18 to 30 years, depending on the post. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.
  • Educational Qualification: A recognised Bachelor’s degree from a university established by law. Certain posts, such as Junior Statistical Officer, may require specific academic qualifications in relevant subjects.

SSC CGL 2026 Exam Pattern and Syllabus Structure

SSC CGL 2026 will be conducted in two stages — Tier I and Tier II, both held in computer-based mode. The examination will assess candidates on aptitude, reasoning ability, language proficiency and general awareness. Tier I will include objective-type questions from the following sections:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • English Comprehension

The final answer key will be published after reviewing representations. The SSC CGL 2026 result will be declared in PDF format, mentioning the roll numbers of shortlisted candidates.
