 SSC CGL 2025 Tier-1: 25 shifts cancelled, 33 centres dropped

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has confirmed that in the SSC CGL Tier-1 2025 exams, only twenty-five shifts have been cancelled so far and thirty-three exam centres have been dropped. All 7,705 affected candidates have been rescheduled. The commission insists that the examination remains on schedule.

Here are the specifics of what has been cancelled or altered, and how affected candidates are being accommodated:

  • Out of 2,435 planned shifts, 25 shifts across some centres have been cancelled to date.
  • Originally, the exam was to be held in 260 centres across 129 cities; this has now dropped to 227 centres, meaning 33 centres have been removed.
  • The exam is being conducted from 12 September to 26 September 2025, in three shifts per day (with an optional fourth shift at selected centres).
