RRC Eastern Railway Scouts & Guides Vacancy 2026

Eastern Railway has announced 15 vacancies under the Scouts & Guides Quota for 2026-27. Of these, five vacancies are for Level-2 posts, while 10 vacancies are for Level-1 posts.

The vacancies are distributed across Eastern Railway, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) and Metro Railway.

Candidates can apply for Level-1, Level-2 or both categories. Those applying for both levels must submit separate application forms and pay the applicable examination fee separately.

RRC Eastern Railway Scouts & Guides Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must meet both the educational and Scouts & Guides eligibility requirements. Having the required Scouts & Guides qualification is mandatory for both Level-1 and Level-2 posts.

Educational Qualification

• Level-2 (Group C): Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
• The 50% requirement is not applicable to SC, ST, ESM and PwBD candidates and candidates holding higher qualifications from a UGC-recognised university.
• Candidates can also apply with Class 10 qualification plus NAC/NCVT-approved ITI.
• Level-1: Candidates must have passed Class 10, ITI, equivalent qualification or hold an NCVT-granted National Apprenticeship Certificate.

Scouts & Guides Qualification

Applicants must fulfil the prescribed Scouts & Guides conditions, including:

• President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge holder.
• Active membership in a Scout organisation for the last five years.
• Certificate of Activeness.
• Participation in two National-level or All India Railway-level events.
• Participation in two State-level events.

RRC Eastern Railway Scouts & Guides Age Limit 2026

The age will be calculated as on January 1, 2027. The basic age requirements are:

RRC Eastern Railway Scouts & Guides Selection Process 2026

The selection process will consist of three stages:

• Written Test: 60 marks
• Marks on Scouts & Guides Certificates: 40 marks
• Medical Examination

The written test will have 40 objective questions carrying 40 marks and one essay-type question carrying 20 marks. The duration will be 60 minutes. Candidates must secure at least 40% marks to qualify for the next stage.

The final selection will consider the combined marks obtained in the written examination and certificate assessment, followed by medical fitness.
