RRB JE Exam Date 2026 Announced: Check CBT 1 Schedule and Exam Day Guidelines

The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will conduct the RRB JE CBT 1 Exam 2026 on October 27 and 28 for candidates applying for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts under Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) 04/2026. Candidates appearing for the examination should download their e-call letters and check their exam date, shift timing, reporting time and examination centre before travelling.

RRB JE Exam Date 2026 and Important Details

The RRB JE recruitment examination is conducted to shortlist candidates for the next stage of the selection process. Candidates should check the revised schedule and confirm their individual examination details through the official portal.

Candidates should use the regional RRB website associated with their application to access the correct admit card and examination-related notices.

RRB JE Exam Day Guidelines 2026

Candidates should read the instructions printed on their admit cards before leaving for the examination centre. The following checklist can help them prepare for the examination day.

Documents to Carry

• Printed admit card: Carry the e-call letter downloaded from the official RRB portal.
• Valid photo identity proof: Bring an original identity document accepted under the instructions on the admit card.
• Additional documents, if required: Check whether the admit card or official notice specifies any additional certificate, undertaking or document for your circumstances.

Candidates should ensure that the information on their identity document matches their examination records. If there is a discrepancy, they should check the official instructions and contact the relevant RRB through its published support channels.

Check Reporting Time and Exam Centre

Candidates should confirm the reporting time, gate-closing time, shift and full examination centre address printed on their admit cards. They should plan their journey in advance and allow sufficient time for traffic, transport delays and entry formalities.

Reaching the examination centre after the permitted entry time may result in denial of entry. The instructions on the individual e-call letter should be treated as authoritative for the candidate's examination.

Follow the Examination Centre Rules

Candidates must follow the rules communicated by the RRB and the examination centre. They should check the admit card for restrictions on personal belongings, electronic devices, stationery and other items. Do not assume that a mobile phone, smartwatch, calculator or other electronic device will be permitted. Carry only the items explicitly allowed under the official instructions.

Check the Admit Card Details

Before exam day, candidates should verify the following details on their e-call letters:

• Candidate name and roll number
• Examination date and shift
• Reporting and entry-closing time
• Examination centre name and complete address
• Photograph and other printed information
• Specific instructions for the examination

If any important detail is incorrect or the admit card cannot be downloaded, candidates should contact the relevant RRB using the official contact details.
