KSET 2026 Qualifying Criteria

KSET is conducted to assess eligibility for Assistant Professor positions in Karnataka. Appearing in the examination or obtaining a particular score does not automatically mean that a candidate has qualified.

As reported in the result update, candidates must have appeared in both Paper I and Paper II and meet the applicable minimum aggregate marks requirement to be considered for eligibility.

Meeting the minimum marks requirement does not by itself guarantee qualification. Under the applicable UGC SET criteria, the number of candidates qualifying for Assistant Professor eligibility is determined through the prescribed subject-wise and category-wise process. Candidates should consult the official KSET notification for the rules applicable to their category.
