RBI has released the Assistant Recruitment 2025 notification for 650 vacancies across India. The online application window will remain open from 16 February to 08 March 2026. The selection process includes Preliminary, Main and Language Proficiency Test stages.

RBI Assistant Recruitment 2025, 650 Vacancies Announced

RBI Assistant Recruitment 2025 notification has been issued for 650 vacancies across offices nationwide. The Reserve Bank of India will conduct a national-level competitive examination for selection. Eligible candidates can apply online at rbi.org.in from 16 February 2026 to 08 March 2026. Applications will be accepted through online mode only.

 

RBI Assistant 2025 Important Dates and Exam Schedule

The Bank has released the tentative examination schedule for the recruitment process. Candidates should take note of the key dates.

  • Application window: 16 February 2026 to 08 March 2026
  • Online fee payment: 16 February 2026 to 08 March 2026
  • Preliminary Exam (tentative): 11 April 2026
  • Main Exam (tentative): 07 June 2026

RBI may revise the schedule if required.

 

RBI Assistant Vacancy 2025 Details

RBI has announced 650 Assistant posts across multiple offices including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram. The number of vacancies may change depending on administrative requirements.

 

RBI Assistant 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil nationality, age and educational qualifications before applying.

 

Age Limit (as on 01 February 2026):

  • Minimum age: 20 years
  • Maximum age: 28 years
  • Born between 02 February 1998 and 01 February 2006 (both dates inclusive)

Age relaxation will be applicable as per rules:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 to 15 years
  • Ex-servicemen and other eligible categories: As per norms

 

Educational Qualification:Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD). Working knowledge of computer word processing and proficiency in the local language of the concerned state are mandatory.

 

RBI Assistant Selection Process 2025

The selection will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

The LPT will be conducted in the official or local language of the concerned state. Failure to qualify in LPT will result in disqualification.

 

RBI Assistant Exam Pattern 2025

The Preliminary Examination will consist of 100 questions for 100 marks. Sections include English Language (30), Numerical Ability (35) and Reasoning Ability (35). Duration will be 60 minutes. The Main Examination will consist of 200 questions for 200 marks. Sections include Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge, each carrying 40 questions. Both exams will have negative marking for incorrect answers.

 

RBI Assistant 2025 Application Fee and How to Apply

Candidates must pay the application fee online.

  • General/OBC: INR 450
  • SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen/RBI Staff: INR 50

To apply, candidates must visit rbi.org.in, register using basic details, fill the application form, upload required documents, pay the fee and submit the form. RBI has clarified that no correction will be allowed after final submission. Admission to the exam will remain provisional until document verification is completed.
