How to Book an NMAT Exam Slot 2026

Applicants who have paid the registration fee can follow these steps to schedule their examination:

1. Visit theofficial NMAT website.
2. Sign in using the email address and password associated with the application.
3. Open the NMAT application or exam scheduling section in the dashboard.
4. Select an available exam date from the displayed options.
5. Choose the available time and test centre or delivery option shown by the portal.
6. Review the appointment details carefully.
7. Confirm the booking and save the appointment confirmation.

Applicants should ensure that their appointment details are correct before leaving the dashboard. They should also retain the confirmation email or other booking information for future reference.

NMAT Registration vs Slot Booking 2026

Registration and slot booking are separate steps in the NMAT process. Registration involves creating an account, entering application details and paying the examination fee. Slot booking involves selecting an available appointment for taking the test.

An applicant who has completed registration but has not scheduled the exam should not assume that an appointment has been assigned. The candidate dashboard should be checked to confirm the booking status.

GMAC lists the NMAT registration fee as INR 3,000 plus applicable taxes. Rescheduling costs INR 1,200 plus applicable taxes, according to the official fee schedule. Applicants should review the current terms before changing an existing appointment.

What Should Applicants Do If Their Preferred Slot Is Unavailable?

Applicants should review the remaining dates, times and centres displayed in the official scheduling portal. They may need to select another available appointment if their first preference is unavailable. Availability can change, so applicants should not rely on an unconfirmed slot.

Those who encounter payment, login or scheduling issues should consult the official NMAT website and its support options. They should keep relevant application details and payment confirmation available when seeking assistance.

Applicants must also remember that NMAT registration does not automatically complete admission applications for participating business schools. Each institute may have separate programme requirements, score submission rules and application deadlines.
