NEET SS 2025 Choice Filling Deadline Extended Till 17 March

Medical Counselling Committee has extended the NEET SS 2025 round 1 choice filling and locking deadline to 17 March 2026 till 8:00 am. The round 1 seat allotment result will be released on 18 March 2026, and candidates must report to allotted colleges between 19 March and 25 March 2026.

NEET SS 2025 Choice Filling Deadline Extended Till 17 March

NEET SS 2025 choice filling and locking deadline for round 1 counselling has been extended by the Medical Counselling Committee. Candidates can now complete the process until 17 March 2026, 8:00 am through the official website mcc.nic.in. The registration process for counselling had already concluded on 15 March 2026.

 

The counselling process is conducted for admission to DM, MCh, and DrNB super-speciality courses in medical institutions across the country. Candidates who completed registration must submit and lock their course and institute preferences before the revised deadline to participate in the first round of seat allotment.

 

NEET SS 2025 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result and Reporting Dates

MCC has announced the schedule for the next stages of the counselling process. Candidates who participate in choice filling will be considered for the first round of seat allotment. The key counselling dates are provided below:

Candidates will be able to check their NEET SS round 1 seat allotment result on the official MCC portal once it is released.

 

Documents Required for NEET SS 2025 Institute Reporting

Candidates who receive a seat allotment must report to the allotted institute within the given timeframe. They are required to carry the necessary documents for verification during the admission process. The following documents must be presented at the time of reporting:

  • NEET SS 2025 result or scorecard
  • MBBS degree certificate
  • MD/MS/DNB degree certificate
  • Provisional seat allotment letter issued by MCC
  • Higher secondary certificate or birth certificate as proof of birth
  • Valid photo identity proof (PAN card, driving licence, voter ID, passport, or Aadhaar card)
  • NEET SS 2025 admit card
  • Permanent registration certificate for MBBS/MD/MS/DNB issued by NBE

Candidates should ensure that all documents are carried in original along with required copies for verification.

 

Steps to Complete NEET SS 2025 Choice Filling and Locking

Candidates must follow the official procedure to submit and lock their preferences for the counselling process. The steps involved in the process are listed below:

  1. Visit the official MCC website — mcc.nic.in.
  2. Log in using the registered NEET SS credentials.
  3. Enter personal details and complete the fee payment of INR 5,000 registration fee and INR 2,00,000 refundable security deposit.
  4. Check the available seat matrix for different specialties and institutes.
  5. Select preferred courses and institutions in order of priority.
  6. Add multiple choices to improve the chances of seat allotment.
  7. Save the preference list regularly while filling choices.
  8. Click the “Lock” option before the deadline to confirm the final choices.
  9. Download the locked choices list for future reference.

Candidates are advised to carefully review their preferences before locking the choices. If the options are not locked before the deadline, the system may automatically lock the saved choices, which may not reflect the candidate’s final preference order.
