NEET PG Counselling 2025: SC hearing postponed, AIQ schedule to drop

The Supreme Court has postponed its hearing on the NEET PG 2025 transparency plea for two weeks, even as the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is preparing to announce the counselling schedule for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Meanwhile, registrations and fee structures are being finalised in states such as Tamil Nadu and Gujarat.

Supreme Court postpones transparency plea hearing; what’s at stake

A group of NEET PG aspirants had approached the Supreme Court seeking full disclosure of the NEET PG 2025 question papers instead of only releasing question IDs, which were published along with the answer key by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

  • The hearing, initially set for 12 September 2025, has been adjourned for two weeks by the SC bench.
  • Petitioners argue that without full question-papers, candidates cannot verify correct answers meaningfully.
