MCC has also published Round 3 vacancy matrices listing 290 clear vacancies and 499 virtual vacancies. Eligible candidates should review the seat matrices and complete their counselling choices within the official deadlines.
NEET MDS Counselling 2026 Round 3 Important Dates
Note: Candidates should verify all deadlines on the official MCC MDS counselling portal before submitting their choices.
MCC Lists 789 Clear and Virtual Vacancy Seats
MCC’s Round 3 seat matrices list 290 clear vacancies and 499 virtual vacancies across participating postgraduate dental institutions. Clear vacancies represent seats available for allotment, while virtual vacancies may become available depending on seat movement during counselling.
The clear vacancy matrix includes 54 seats in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology, 36 in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, and 35 each in Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge and Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics.
The virtual vacancy matrix lists 76 seats in Periodontology, 71 in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry and 65 in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics.
Candidates should check the institute-wise, speciality-wise, quota-wise and category-wise details before selecting their preferences.
How to Complete NEET MDS Round 3 Counselling
Registered candidates should log in through the official MCC portal and complete choice filling before the deadline. They should review their preferred colleges, MDS specialities, quota and category eligibility before locking their choices.
Candidates who have not completed registration must submit the application and payment within the prescribed window. They should retain confirmation records and check the portal for any schedule changes.
Choice filling and locking are separate steps. Candidates should confirm that their preferences have been saved and locked successfully rather than assuming that entering choices completes the process.
What Happens After Choice Filling?
MCC is scheduled to process seat allotments from October 29 to 30 and publish the Round 3 result on October 31. Candidates who receive seats must complete reporting and joining formalities between November 1 and 7, subject to the official schedule.
Allotment depends on merit, preferences, eligibility and seat availability. A virtual vacancy does not guarantee that a seat will become available to every candidate.
Candidates should monitor the MCC MDS counselling portal for the result, allotment instructions and any revised notices.
