MET 2026 Participating Institutes Announced for BTech Admissions

The list of MET 2026 participating institutes has been announced for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes. The Manipal Entrance Test serves as the common admission gateway for BTech courses offered across select Manipal campuses. Only candidates who qualify the MET 2026 examination will be eligible to participate in the admission and counselling process.

MET 2026 Participating Campuses for BTech Courses

For the 2026 admission cycle, BTech programmes will be offered across four campuses under the Manipal education group. Candidates can choose their preferred campus during the counselling process based on course availability and merit. The following campuses are participating in MET 2026 BTech admissions:

  • Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal
  • Manipal University Jaipur
  • Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru
  • Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology

Each campus offers a distinct set of engineering programmes, and availability may vary by specialisation.

Campus-Wise BTech Courses Offered Through MET 2026

The BTech courses available through MET 2026 differ across campuses. Candidates are advised to carefully review the programme options before filling their counselling preferences. Popular engineering disciplines offered include:

  • Computer Science and Engineering and its specialisations such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, IoT, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design), and Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Automobile Engineering
  • Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology
  • Emerging interdisciplinary programmes such as Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics and Computing, and Computer Science and Bioscience

Course combinations and specialisations are campus-specific and subject to change as per institutional guidelines.

MET 2026 Admission Process and Eligibility

Admissions to all participating institutes will be conducted strictly on the basis of MET 2026 scores. Candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. The MET 2026 exam will be conducted in two phases, and candidates are required to attempt at least one phase to be considered for admission. If a candidate appears in both phases, the higher score is generally considered for merit preparation.

MET 2026 Counselling and Seat Allotment Process

After the declaration of MET results, a centralised counselling process will be conducted. During counselling, candidates will be required to select their preferred campus and BTech programme in order of priority. Seat allotment will be based on:

  • MET 2026 merit rank
  • Availability of seats
  • Candidate’s choice preferences

Candidates who receive seat allotment must complete document verification and admission formalities within the specified timeline to confirm their admission.

Important Advisory for Candidates

Candidates are advised to carefully analyse campus-wise course offerings before submitting their choices during counselling. Since Manipal institutions operate under a centralised admission framework, strategic preference filling plays a crucial role in seat allotment. Further updates related to MET 2026 counselling dates, cut-offs, and admission schedules will be announced separately through official notifications.
