The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has released the exam day guidelines for candidates appearing in the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2026. The entrance examination is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes offered by MAHE campuses. The exam will be held in computer-based test (CBT) mode, with Phase 1 scheduled in April 2026 and Phase 2 planned for May 2026. MET 2026 Documents Required at Exam Centre

Candidates appearing for the entrance test must carry specific documents for identity verification and exam attendance. Entry into the examination hall will not be permitted without these documents. The required documents include:

  • Printed copy of the MET 2026 admit card
  • Original valid photo identity proof

Accepted ID proofs include:

  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN card
  • Passport
  • Driving licence
  • Voter ID card
  • School identity card

Candidates must present these documents during verification at the exam centre. Those who fail to produce the admit card and valid ID proof will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

 

MET 2026 Dress Code Guidelines

To ensure smooth security checks and maintain exam discipline, candidates are advised to follow a simple and comfortable dress code on the exam day. Important dress code instructions include:

  • Candidates should wear simple and comfortable clothing.
  • Heavy accessories, jewellery and metallic items should be avoided.
  • Shoes with thick soles or large buckles are not recommended.
  • Candidates should avoid clothing with large pockets or multiple layers.

The exam authorities have also listed several items that are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Candidates found carrying such items may face disqualification. The prohibited items include:

  • Calculators or electronic devices
  • Study material or written notes
  • Bags or personal electronic accessories
