Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, is set to release the KEAM Rank List 2026 today, June 22, 2026. According to reports, the rank list will be officially announced by Kerala Higher Education Minister Roji M. John at the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club at 3 PM. Candidates who appeared for the Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical entrance examination will be able to access their rank cards through the official portal, cee.kerala.gov.in. The release of the engineering rank list marks the beginning of the admission process for thousands of candidates seeking seats in engineering institutions across Kerala. This year witnessed a sharp increase in participation, with nearly one lakh students appearing for the examination, making competition considerably higher compared to previous years.
KEAM Rank List 2026 to Be Released Today by CEE Kerala
The publication of the KEAM engineering rank list is one of the most significant stages in the admission process. Unlike several other entrance examinations, the KEAM engineering rank list is prepared using both entrance examination scores and Plus Two marks. The rank calculation follows a 50:50 formula, where normalised entrance examination marks out of 300 and normalised Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics marks from the Higher Secondary examination out of 300 are combined to prepare the final score out of 600. This methodology aims to balance school academic performance with entrance examination merit, thereby ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of candidates. The increased number of candidates this year is expected to intensify competition for seats in leading engineering institutions across the state.
KEAM 2026 Important Details and Rank Calculation Formula
The rank list will determine admission to engineering courses offered through the Centralised Admission Process conducted by the state. Candidates should understand how the engineering ranks are prepared because the score determines eligibility for counselling and seat allotmen
How KEAM 2026 Engineering Rank List Is Prepared?
The ranking methodology adopted by CEE Kerala gives equal importance to entrance examination performance and Plus Two academic marks. The KEAM entrance examination score is normalised out of 300 marks, while Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics marks obtained in the Plus Two examination are also normalised to 300 marks. The aggregate score of these two components forms the final rank score out of 600 marks. This process ensures that candidates are evaluated through both school-level academics and competitive examination performance. With almost one lakh candidates participating this year, minor differences in scores are likely to influence rank positions significantly.
- The engineering rank list uses a 50:50 weightage formula.
- Final ranks are prepared using a combined score out of 600 marks.

KEAM 2026 Counselling and CAP Process After Rank List
Following the release of the rank list, CEE Kerala will initiate the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2026. The counselling procedure is conducted through multiple rounds and includes option registration, rearrangement of choices, seat allotment and final admissions. Candidates will have to register their preferred colleges and branches during option entry. After the publication of provisional allotment results, candidates may modify their choices before final allotment. The counselling process generally consists of three rounds along with a mop-up round to fill vacant seats. Category-wise cut-offs and last ranks are published after every round to provide transparency in admissions.
