JKBOSE Revises Class 11, 12 Syllabus for 2026–27 Academic Session

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has revised the syllabus for Classes 11 and 12 for the upcoming academic sessions. The updated syllabus will apply to specific subjects from academic session 2026–27. However, the board has clarified that no changes have been made in the syllabus for Classes 9 and 10 for the academic session 2025–26.
JKBOSE Syllabus Revision has been announced by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE)for Classes 11 and 12 for upcoming academic sessions. According to the official notification, selected subjects in both classes will follow the revised syllabus. The board has also clarified that the syllabus for Classes 9 and 10 will remain unchanged for the academic session 2025–26 in the Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of the Jammu Division.
JKBOSE Syllabus Applicability for Different Academic Zones
The revised syllabus will be implemented in phases depending on the academic zones of Jammu and Kashmir. The board has issued the following instructions regarding the implementation of the updated syllabus.

JKBOSE Class 11 and 12 Syllabus Changes
The board has introduced revisions in specific subjects for both classes as part of the updated syllabus framework. The subjects revised under the new syllabus are listed below.

Class 12 Revised Subjects
- Education
- Environmental Science
The updated syllabus will be followed for the preparation of question papers for future examinations conducted by the board.
