JKBOSE Bi-Annual Exam 2025 for Class 10, 11 Postponed, New Dates Soon

Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has postponed the Bi-Annual Examination 2025 for Class 10 and Class 11, which was scheduled to begin on August 18, 2025. The decision was taken after a cloudburst in Kathua and widespread inclement weather across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh. The board confirmed that fresh exam dates will be announced separately on the official website, jkbose.nic.in.

Reason Behind the Postponement of JKBOSE Bi-Annual Exam 2025

According to the official notification, JKBOSE cited adverse weather conditions and a cloudburst in Kathua district as the main reasons for rescheduling the Class 10 and Class 11 exams. Several regions of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Ladakh, are witnessing heavy rains and landslides, making travel unsafe for students and examination staff.

An official statement from the board read: “Fresh dates will be notified separately. All centre superintendents and jurisdictional Station House Officers (SHOs) are requested to be informed accordingly.”

JKBOSE Bi-Annual Exam 2025: Safety of Students Comes First

The board emphasised that the decision was made in the interest of student safety. Conducting large-scale exams in such unpredictable weather could put thousands of students and staff members at risk. JKBOSE has therefore decided to defer the Class 10 and Class 11 Bi-Annual Exam 2025 until conditions improve.

JKBOSE Bi-Annual Exam 2025: Instructions to Schools and Exam Authorities

JKBOSE has directed all sub-offices, branch officers, and school principals to circulate the postponement notice quickly through official communication channels.

Authorities have been asked to use:

• WhatsApp groups of schools and exam centres
• Official notice boards
• Digital platforms connected with JKBOSE

This step ensures that candidates and parents receive information about the postponement of JKBOSE Bi-Annual Exam 2025 without delay.

Revised Dates of JKBOSE Bi-Annual Exam 2025

The board has assured that the new dates for JKBOSE Class 10 and Class 11 Bi-Annual Exam 2025 will be announced soon. Once the weather stabilises, a revised exam timetable will be uploaded on the official website and circulated to schools. Students are advised not to rely on unverified news or rumours circulating on social media and should check only the official JKBOSE website for accurate updates.

JKBOSE Bi-Annual Exam 2025: Authorities Highlight Student-Centric Approach

JKBOSE officials clarified that while the postponement may cause inconvenience, the safety and well-being of students is the top priority. Adverse conditions in hilly areas of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh can make travel dangerous, and the board does not want students to face unnecessary risk.
