The National Testing Agency will close JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registrations on February 25. The Session 2 exams will be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration Ends Feb 25, Paper 2 Result Soon

The National Testing Agency will close the registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 on February 25, 2026. Candidates who wish to appear for the second session of the engineering entrance examination must complete their application process online through the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in before the deadline. The second session of JEE Main 2026 will be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026, in two shifts across various exam centres in India and abroad.

 

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Schedule

As per the official schedule, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.

  • Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Candidates can appear for both Session 1 and Session 2, and the best score out of the two attempts will be considered for ranking.

 

How to Register for JEE Main 2026 Session 2?

Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 registration process successfully.

 

First, visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.Click on the “Registration for JEE (Main) 2026 – Session II” link under the Candidate Activity section.Log in using Session 1 credentials, or register as a new candidate using an email ID and mobile number.Fill in personal details, academic qualifications, and select the paper type.Upload scanned documents in the prescribed format.Choose preferred exam cities and pay the application fee online.Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details before final submission, as no correction facility will be provided after submission.

 

JEE Main 2026 Paper Options

During the application process, candidates can choose from the following papers:

  • Paper 1: B.E./B.Tech
  • Paper 2A: B.Arch
  • Paper 2B: B.Planning

 

JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Paper 2 Result Expected Soon

The NTA is also expected to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Paper 2 results for B.Arch and B.Planning candidates shortly. Students will be able to download their scorecards using their application number and password once the results are declared. The scorecard will include subject-wise scores, percentile, and All India Rank (AIR). The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results were announced on February 16, 2026, with 12 candidates securing the top rank.

 

What’s Next After JEE Main 2026?

Qualified candidates will be eligible for JoSAA counselling for admission into NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions, while top performers will advance to JEE Advanced 2026.
