The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 application correction window from 27 February to 28 February 2026 (till 11:50 PM). JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Application Correction, Dates & Editable Fields

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued fresh guidelines for aspirants who have applied for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 regarding mistakes in the online application form. A dedicated correction window will be available for a limited period, allowing candidates to review and update certain details submitted earlier.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Application Correction Dates

The correction facility for Session 2 applications will be open on the official JEE Main portal jeemain.nta.nic.in as per the following schedule:

  • Correction window begins: 27 February 2026
  • Correction window ends: 28 February 2026 (11:50 PM)

Candidates are advised to complete all necessary corrections before the deadline, as no changes will be accepted under any circumstances once the window closes.

Who Can Use the Correction Facility?

The correction option applies to two groups of applicants:

  1. Fresh Session 2 candidates who applied between 1 February and 25 February 2026.
  2. Dual-session candidates who registered for Session 1 (31 October to 27 November 2025) and later applied for Session 2.Both categories can log in with their application number and password to access and edit permissible items.

Which Details Can Be Edited?

NTA has specified fields that candidates may revise during the correction window. These typically include:

  • Course/Paper selection
  • Medium of question paper
  • State code of eligibility
  • Exam city preference
  • Educational qualification details (Class 10 and Class 12 information)
  • Date of birth (for new Session 2 candidates)
  • Gender and category details

Candidates should ensure details match official documents to prevent issues during admit card issuance or exam day verification.

Details That Cannot Be Changed

Certain core identifiers cannot be modified once submitted, including:

  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • Permanent and present addresses
  • Emergency contact details
  • Live or uploaded photograph

These fields remain locked across the correction window and must be entered accurately during initial application submission.

Fee Implications for Corrections

If a correction results in a change that affects the exam fee — for example, switching categories or selecting additional papers — candidates will be required to pay additional charges online using credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI at the time of correction.

Next Steps After Correction Window

Once the correction period ends on 28 February 2026, the submitted details will be treated as final. NTA will then process these corrected forms and issue city intimation slips, admit cards and further exam related information for the Session 2 examinations scheduled from 2 April to 9 April 2026 (tentative).
