The National Testing Agency is set to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result by February 16, 2026 at jeemain.nta.nic.in, following final answer key evaluation. Candidates can download their scorecards using login credentials.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result is likely to be declared by 16 February 2026, according to official updates shared by the National Testing Agency on its X account. Candidates who appeared in the exam — conducted in multiple shifts between 21 and 29 January 2026 — can check and download their scorecards from the official portals jeemain.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in once the result link goes live. Final answer keys, prepared after reviewing objections raised against the provisional answer key, will be published before or along with the results. Candidates can use those keys to estimate their raw scores ahead of official declaration.
Where and How to Check JEE Main 2026 Result?
Candidates can follow these steps once the result is released:
- Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in.
- Click on the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result link.
- Enter Application Number and Password/Date of Birth.
- Submit and view the scorecard/percentile.
- Download and print the scorecard for future counselling and applications
The scorecard will contain details such as:
- Candidate’s name
- Roll number
- Subject-wise marks
- Total percentile score
- Eligibility for next rounds and cutoff status
Final Answer Key & Cut Off Insights
The final answer key, once released, will be the basis for computing the JEE Main results. Candidates had submitted objections to the provisional key in early February and the agency has reviewed all representations. The result will also include or be followed by cutoff marks and qualifying lists. Typically, the top 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE Main Session 1 are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026, the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
What Happens Next?
- Once declared, the result will be used for admissions to NITs, IIITs and GFTIs as per merit and reservation norms.
- Candidates who wish to improve scores can register for Session 2, scheduled from 2 April to 9 April 2026.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official JEE Main portals for the live result link, latest updates, and counselling notifications.
