Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has released the recruitment notification for 291 Generalist and Specialist Officer posts. The online application process started on August 29, 2026.
Eligible candidates can apply online through the IOB website till September 15. The vacancies are available across Junior Management Grade Scale I, Middle Management Grade Scale II and Scale III posts.

For example, the Manager (Branch Management) post requires:
- Graduation in any discipline.
- Age between 23 and 33 years.
- Three years of officer-level experience in a scheduled public or private sector bank.
- At least two years of experience in branch banking.

The fee includes GST and is non-refundable.
IOB SO Selection Process 2026
The selection process includes an online examination followed by an interview. The online exam will have 100 objective questions and will be conducted for two hours.
For most posts, the exam will include:
- English Language – 25 questions
- General Awareness with Banking – 25 questions
- Professional Knowledge – 50 questions
A quarter of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for a wrong answer.
The final merit list will give 80% weightage to the online exam and 20% to the interview.
