IOB LBO Exam Date 2026 Out: Check Exam Schedule

Indian Overseas Bank has released the IOB LBO Exam Date 2026 for the Local Bank Officer recruitment. As per the latest official notice, the online examination will be conducted on September 24 and September 29, 2026. The exam will be held for 250 Local Bank Officer vacancies under JMGS-I.

The exam date notice was issued on September 15, 2026. The individual exam date, session and centre will be mentioned on the call letter. IOB has also stated that requests to change the exam date or venue will not be accepted.

The exam has negative marking. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. There is no penalty for questions left unanswered.

There are no sectional qualifying marks. The minimum aggregate qualifying marks are 35% for unreserved candidates and 30% for reserved candidates.

IOB LBO Selection Process 2026

The selection process consists of the following stages:

• Online Examination
• Local Language Proficiency Test, wherever applicable
• Personal Interview

The Language Proficiency Test is required for shortlisted applicants who have not studied the specified local language in Class 10 or 12. Those who provide valid proof of having studied the required language are exempt from the LPT.

The Personal Interview will carry 100 marks. The final selection will use an 80:20 weightage for the online examination and interview, respectively.

The application fee was payable online during the registration period. The fee was non-refundable.

The above amounts include GST. The application fee could be paid through debit card, credit card, internet banking, BHIM or UPI.
