IIMA MBA-FABM 2025 Placements: 52 Offers, Highest INR 41.83 Lakh

The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) released its audited placement report 2025 for the Post Graduate Programme in Food and Agri-business Management (MBA-FABM), following the Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS). This year, 52 roles were offered to 44 students, with 35 companies participating in the final placements. The placements included both legacy recruiters and new companies, highlighting IIMA’s strong industry connections and a seamless placement process.

  • Total Offers: 52
  • Total Students Placed: 44
  • Mean Package: INR 22.21 lakh
  • Highest Package: INR 41.83 lakh

The placement process emphasized flexibility for students, allowing them to hold or reject offers to pursue better opportunities.

Insights from IIMA Officials

Prof. Viswanath Pingali, Chairperson, Placement, IIMA, stated:

“It is good to see recruiters showing faith in our graduates. This sector-specific programme continues to attract industry confidence, reflecting the strength of the students and the placement process.”

Siddharth Choudhury, Recruitment Secretary of MBA-FABM 2025, noted:

“Legacy recruiters and new partners offered an ocean of opportunities to our students. The process ensures a perfect match between students and recruiters, preparing leaders ready to innovate in the food and agri-business sector.”

Maximum Earning Potential (MEP) Approach

IIMA emphasized that placement figures are based on Maximum Earning Potential (MEP) rather than Cost to Company (CTC). Unlike CTC, which may include non-cash components such as insurance or bonuses, MEP reflects the actual cash compensation a student is eligible to earn in the first year, offering a transparent view of earning potential.

The report confirms MBA-FABM as the world’s top program in the Food and Agri-business sector, with recruiters reaffirming confidence through competitive placements. Students were given full flexibility to continue participating in the placement process despite existing offers, ensuring the best opportunities aligned with their aspirations. This year’s placement report underscores IIMA’s robust placement process, strong industry links, and the increasing relevance of the MBA-FABM program globally.
