The admission process will be conducted in multiple stages, including shortlisting, a written ability test (WAT), and a personal interview (PI). IIM Bangalore MBA Admission 2025: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the PGP (MBA) programme at IIM Bangalore, candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Educational Qualification:
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the minimum requirement is 45% marks.
- Entrance Exam: A valid CAT 2024 score at the time of application.
Documents Required
Applicants must keep the following documents ready during the admission process:
- Class 10, Class 12, and Bachelor’s degree transcripts and certificates
- Provisional degree certificate (if applicable)
- Professional degree transcripts (CA/CS/ICWA, if applicable)
- Bonafide certificate (for candidates in their final year)
- Statement of Purpose (SOP)
- Work experience letters, payslips (if applicable)
- SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS certificate (if applicable)
- PwD certificate with UDID card
- Two reference letters (preferably from an employer or academic faculty)
IIM Bangalore MBA Selection Process
The admission process at IIM Bangalore involves two stages:
Stage 1: Shortlisting Based on Pre-PI Score
Candidates meeting the sectional and overall CAT 2024 cut-offs will be shortlisted. A pre-PI (Personal Interview) score will be calculated using the following weightage system:
CAT 2024 Section-Wise Distribution (55 points):
- VARC: 19
- DILR: 21
- QA: 15
Stage 2: Personal Interview and Written Ability Test
Shortlisted candidates will appear for PI and WAT, both conducted on the same day. The work experience score is scaled and refined based on the quality of experience, evaluated on a 5-point scale (0.25 to 2).
Final Selection: Post-PI Weightage
The final admission score is prepared by giving weightage to multiple parameters:
CAT 2024 Section-Wise Distribution (25 points):
- VARC: 8.75
- DILR: 10
- QA: 6.25
Candidates securing the highest post-PI scores will receive the final admission offer for IIM Bangalore MBA 2025.
