The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued a public advisory warning students about fraudulent individuals posing as university officials and attempting to collect money through unofficial channels. IGNOU 2025 students have been cautioned to make all payments exclusively through the official websiteignou.ac.in.
IGNOU Advisory Details
According to the notice, impostors have been contacting learners via emails, phone calls, and other platforms, demanding payments for various services, including:
- Examination fees
- Issuance of duplicate grade cards and degrees
- Transcripts and certificate verification
- Project and practical fees
- Revaluation and photocopies of answer sheets
IGNOU clarified that it has never authorised anyone to collect money outside official channels. Any payment made through fraudulent means is not the responsibility of the university.
