HPPSC Police Constable Recruitment 2026: 734 Posts, Apply Online

The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has announced 734 Police Constable vacancies in the Himachal Pradesh Police Department. The recruitment includes posts for both male and female candidates.

HPPSC Police Constable Vacancy 2026

The 734 vacancies are divided between male and female Constable posts.

The male Constable recruitment is covered under Advertisement No. 57/7-2026, while female Constable posts are covered under Advertisement No. 58/7-2026. Both advertisements were published on July 10, 2026.

HPPSC Police Constable Eligibility 2026

Candidates must meet the educational, age and other eligibility conditions prescribed by HPPSC. For the female Constable post, candidates must have passed Matriculation and Class 12 from an institution, school or board situated within Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachali candidates.

HPPSC Police Constable Selection Process 2026

The selection process includes a written examination and physical and other prescribed stages. The final merit is prepared using marks obtained in the written test, height and NCC, with a total of 100 marks.

Candidates who qualify through the selection process and are declared medically fit will be considered for final appointment.

HPPSC Police Constable Salary 2026

Selected candidates will be placed at Level-3 of the pay matrix, with a pay scale of INR 20,200 to INR 64,000.
