HPBOSE Makes PCP Classes Mandatory for HPSOS Examination 2026

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has made PCP Classes 2026 compulsory for students enrolled under the Himachal Pradesh State Open School. The decision applies to HPSOS Class 8, Class 10, and Class 12 students appearing for the March 2026 examination session. As per the official directive, PCP classes will be conducted under strict monitoring to ensure academic discipline and learning continuity for open school candidates.

HPBOSE PCP Classes 2026 Schedule and Monitoring Guidelines

HPBOSE has clearly defined the timeline and supervision norms for conducting PCP classes across all authorized HPSOS study centres. These classes are aimed at strengthening concept clarity and ensuring structured academic engagement. Before checking the schedule, candidates must note that attendance is mandatory and all sessions will be conducted under CCTV surveillance. Non-compliance may impact exam eligibility.

• PCP Class Duration: January 15 to February 28, 2026
• Surveillance: Mandatory CCTV monitoring at all centres
• Applicable Students: HPSOS Class 8, 10, and 12 candidates

The Board has instructed study centres to ensure full compliance without any exception.

PCP Classes Applicable Only for HPSOS Students

HPBOSE has clarified that the PCP mandate applies only to Open School students. Regular HPBOSE school students are not covered under this instruction. Before reviewing eligible categories, candidates should confirm their enrollment status under HPSOS to avoid confusion regarding attendance requirements.

PCP Classes Are Mandatory For:

• HPSOS Class 8, 10, and 12 fresh candidates
• Additional subject candidates
• Class 12 Direct Science candidates

The Board has emphasized that PCP classes are essential for providing systematic instruction and improving academic preparedness among open school learners.

Candidates Not Eligible for PCP Classes

Certain categories of candidates have been excluded from attending PCP classes. HPBOSE has issued this clarification to avoid unnecessary reporting at study centres. Before checking the list below, students should carefully match their application category with the eligibility rules.

• Reappear candidates
• Improvement candidates
• Special Marks Improvement candidates

Minimum Student Requirement and Special Provisions

HPBOSE has set a minimum enrollment condition for conducting PCP classes at a study centre. This measure ensures effective classroom interaction and resource utilization. Before checking the rules, candidates should note that exceptions have been provided for difficult terrain areas.

• Minimum Requirement: 25 fresh candidates per HPSOS study centre
• If Below 25: Centre must collaborate with the nearest HPSOS study centre
• Remote Areas: PCP classes may be conducted at the same centre even with fewer students

PCP Completion Certificate Made Mandatory

HPBOSE has made it compulsory for study centres to upload a PCP completion certificate for all eligible HPSOS candidates. This certificate will confirm successful participation in PCP classes and may be required for examination-related verification. Study centres have been directed to complete the certificate upload process within the prescribed timeline to avoid any administrative issues.
