The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has started the Class 10 and Class 12 Supplementary/Improvement Examinations 2026. Students appearing for the exams must follow the prescribed timings and examination guidelines. The board is expected to announce the supplementary exam results by the end of July 2026.

Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has commenced the Class 10 and Class 12 Supplementary/Improvement Examinations 2026 for students who could not qualify in one or two subjects or wish to improve their scores. The supplementary examinations are being conducted as per the schedule released by the board, with Class 10 exams concluding on July 10, 2026, and Class 12 exams ending on July 16, 2026. Students were able to download their admit cards through the Student's Corner available on the official HPBOSE portal before the commencement of the examinations. The board has confirmed that the syllabus and examination pattern remain unchanged from the regular board examinations. Candidates are advised to follow all examination guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth examination process.

The board has announced separate concluding dates for Class 10 and Class 12 supplementary examinations. Students should be aware of the examination timeline and prepare accordingly.

 

HPBOSE Supplementary Exam 2026 Timings

Students appearing for the supplementary examinations should report to their respective examination centres well before the reporting time. The board has allotted additional time before the examination begins for reading the question paper and completing essential details. Candidates will receive the question paper and answer booklet 15 minutes before the commencement of the examination to read the instructions and complete necessary details.

 

HPBOSE 10th & 12th Supplementary Exam 2026 Eligibility

The supplementary examinations provide another opportunity for students who were unable to clear all subjects in the annual board examinations. The board has clarified that the exam pattern, marking scheme, and syllabus remain the same as those followed during the regular board examinations. Students eligible to appear include:

  • Candidates who failed in one or two subjects in the main board examination.
  • Students applying for improvement of marks in eligible subjects.
  • Candidates who successfully completed the registration process within the prescribed schedule.

 

Important Guidelines for HPBOSE Supplementary Exam 2026

Students should strictly follow the examination rules issued by HPBOSE to avoid any inconvenience at the examination centre.

  • Reach the examination centre well before the reporting time.
  • Carry the HPBOSE Supplementary Exam Admit Card and valid identification, if required.
  • Read the question paper carefully during the allotted 15-minute reading period.
  • Follow all instructions issued by the invigilators throughout the examination.
  • Maintain discipline inside the examination hall.
  • Ensure all required details are correctly filled in on the answer booklet before writing the examination.

 

Items Prohibited Inside the Examination Centre

HPBOSE has instructed candidates not to carry any prohibited items inside the examination venue. Possession of such items may lead to disciplinary action. Students should carry only the permitted stationery required for the examination. The following items are not permitted:

  • Mobile phones
  • Smartwatches
  • Bluetooth devices and earphones
  • Calculators
  • Electronic gadgets
  • Any unfair means or unauthorized study material

 

HPBOSE Supplementary Result 2026

After the successful completion of the examinations, HPBOSE will begin the evaluation process. The HPBOSE Supplementary Result 2026 for both Class 10 and Class 12 is expected to be announced by the end of July 2026. Candidates who qualify in the supplementary examinations will be able to continue their higher education or admission process without waiting for the next academic session. Students are advised to regularly check the official HPBOSE website for updates regarding the result declaration and mark sheet availability.
