Haryana Board 10th & 12th Practical Exams 2026 Begin from 2 Feb

The Board of School Education, Haryana (HBSE) has scheduled the Class 10 (Secondary) and Class 12 (Senior Secondary) practical examinations for the 2026 academic session to be conducted from 2 February to 16 February 2026. Practical assessments will take place ahead of the main written (theory) board exams, enabling students to complete hands-on subject evaluations as part of the board evaluation process. Practical exams will typically run during the day, and students must follow reporting times and centre allocations as communicated by their schools or respective exam authorities. This phase forms a compulsory component of the annual assessment for board candidates.

HBSE Practical Exam Dates and Sessions

The practical examinations for both classes will be conducted over two weeks starting on 2 February and concluding on 16 February 2026. Practical schedules include subjects across science, vocational and elective streams. For senior secondary science subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology, external examiners appointed by the board will oversee sessions to ensure standardised evaluation. Secondary school teachers will conduct practical assessments for other subjects at respective schools. This arrangement allows students to clear the practical component well before the theory exams, giving them time to shift focus to board theory preparation.

Exam Centre and Conduct Guidelines

Practical exams will be held at school premises or assigned centres as per board directives. Students are required to:

• Report at the scheduled time with valid school-issued practical admit card or identity proof as applicable.
• Bring necessary practical equipment and materials as instructed for each subject.
• Follow all instructions from examiners and school officials to ensure smooth conduct.

External examiner supervision for senior secondary science subjects aims to maintain consistency and transparency in assessment standards across the state.

What Follows After Practicals?

Once the HBSE practical examinations conclude on 16 February 2026, students will prepare for the theory board exams scheduled to begin later in February 2026. The full annual exam date sheet, covering subject-wise theory exam dates and timings for Classes 10 and 12, has also been released by HBSE and outlines a comprehensive timetable through February and March into early April 2026. Theory exams will assess students across all academic subjects, focusing on written responses, problem-solving and descriptive answers in accordance with the board curriculum. Students are advised to balance revision and practical preparations in the remaining weeks.
