The authorities are set to open the GUJCET 2026 application correction window shortly, allowing candidates to make specified changes to their submitted forms. Edits such as photograph, signature, contact details and exam city preferences are expected to be permitted.
Candidates should be prepared to update the following details once the correction window opens:
- Photograph and signature: Candidates may upload corrected images if the original uploads were unclear or did not match specifications.
- Email address and mobile number: Contact details can be updated to ensure successful communication and alerts from the examination authority.
- Exam city preferences: Applicants may change their preferred test centres to suit convenience or travel feasibility.
- Category and quota details: If applicable, edits related to category or reservation quota (such as EWS, OBC, SC/ST) can be corrected with valid supporting certificates.
- Academic details: Certain academic data such as board or qualifying examination details may be editable subject to approval.
The exact list of fields that may be edited will be specified in the official correction notice when the window becomes active.
Who Should Use the Correction Facility?
The application correction window is especially useful for candidates who:
- Uploaded incorrect images or improper file sizes
- Entered wrong contact details
- Selected inaccurate exam city preferences
- Made typographical errors in personal or academic sections
Using this opportunity wisely can prevent discrepancies later in admit cards or during counselling processes.
How to Access and Update Details?
Once the application correction window is active, candidates will need to:
- Log in to the official GUJCET 2026 portal using their application number and password/date of birth.
- Navigate to the Correction/Edit section in the dashboard.
- Make the permitted changes carefully, ensuring accuracy.
- Review all edits before submitting the updated form.
- Save and download the revised application confirmation for future reference.
Candidates are advised to double-check details before submission, as some fields may not be available for editing once the correction deadline ends.
Why the Correction Window Matters?
Errors in application forms, even minor ones, can lead to:
- Rejection of the application
- Incorrect details on the admit card
- Difficulties during admission or counselling processes
The correction facility provides a vital second chance to rectify mistakes and secure a smooth progression through the GUJCET process.
Preparation Ahead of the Correction Window
Candidates should keep the following ready:
- Scanned copies of correct photographs and signatures in the prescribed format
- Correct email and mobile information
- Accurate details of qualifying examination results and category certificates
- Backup choices of exam cities in order of preference
Being prepared in advance will help candidates complete corrections quickly once the window opens.
