Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will offer a new BTech programme in Metrology from the next academic session. The admission to this course will be through JEE Main 2026 scores instead of the university’s entrance test, IPU CET. The programme was announced during the Teachers’ Day celebration on September 4, 2025 at IPU Dwarka campus.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mahesh Verma revealed that the course has been developed in collaboration with CSIR–National Physical Laboratory (NPL), focusing on measurement science and precision engineering. Dr. Venu Gopal Achanta, Director of NPL, attended the event as the chief guest.
