GATE 2026 Registration Without Late Fee Closes on October 6, 2025

The GATE 2026 registration without late fee closed on October 6, 2025. Candidates planning to appear for the examination must have complete their registration through the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in before the deadline. The exam is scheduled to be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026. Candidates unable to register today can apply during the extended period from October 7 to October 9, 2025, by paying the applicable late fee.

 

GATE 2026 Registration Fee Details

The GATE 2026 application fee is category-wise and must be paid online through the available payment gateways. The fee structure is as follows:

GATE 2026 Registration and Application Process

 

Candidates must follow these steps to complete the GATE 2026 registration:

  1. Visit the official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
  2. Click on the application portal.
  3. Select the registration link and enter required personal and academic details.
  4. Fill out the application form carefully.
  5. Submit the application fee online.
  6. Save the confirmation and complete the submission process.

 

GATE 2026 Required Documents

Applicants must upload the following documents in the specified format during registration:

  • Good quality image of candidate’s photograph.
  • Good quality image of candidate’s signature.
  • Scanned copy of a valid photo ID document (original ID must be produced at the exam centre).
  • Scanned copy of SC/ST certificate, if applicable.
  • Scanned copy of UDID/PwD certificate, if applicable.
  • Scanned copy of Dyslexic Certificate, if applicable.
  • Relevant annexures and certificates for compensatory time and scribe, if required.

Candidates are advised to ensure that all details and documents are correct before submission, as discrepancies may affect eligibility for the examination. Completing the registration before the October 6 deadline is crucial to avoid paying the late fee and to secure a seat for GATE 2026.
