Delhi University has announced 215 Assistant vacancies across different categories. The category-wise vacancy details are given below.

One vacancy is horizontally reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Visual Impairment).

DU Assistant Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the following educational qualification, experience and age requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institution.
• Work Experience: At least two years of experience as a Junior Assistant or in an equivalent post.
• Eligible Organisations: Universities, research establishments, Central or State Government organisations, PSUs and autonomous bodies.
• Private Sector Experience: Candidates with experience in reputed private companies or corporate banks must meet the prescribed pay and minimum annual turnover conditions.
• Age Limit: Maximum 32 years, with applicable category-wise age relaxation.

Candidates must also meet the prescribed typing and computer proficiency requirements mentioned in the official notification.

DU Assistant Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process includes three stages:

1. Preliminary Examination: The test will contain 100 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks. Topics include General Studies, Reasoning, Mathematical Ability and the functioning of higher education institutions. It will be used for shortlisting candidates.
2. Main Examination: The main examination will carry 200 marks. The final merit list will be prepared based on the main examination.
3. Skill Test: The skill test will carry 100 marks. Candidates must score at least 50 marks to qualify. It will be qualifying in nature.
