DRDO CVRDE has announced 93 ITI Apprentice Trainee vacancies for eligible candidates. The recruitment will be conducted through walk-in interviews on September 8 and 9, 2026.
Candidates who have completed ITI from an NCVT or SCVT-recognised institute can participate in the recruitment. Mandatory registration on the NCVT/SCVT MIS portal is required before attending the interview.

DRDO CVRDE Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must have passed ITI from an institute recognised by NCVT or SCVT in the relevant trade. Most trades require a minimum two-year ITI course.
However, COPA, Painter, Plumber, Welder and Food Production candidates are exempt from the two-year course requirement. Only candidates who passed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible.
DRDO CVRDE Age Limit 2026
The age will be calculated as on September 1, 2026.
- Minimum age: 18 years
- UR: Maximum 27 years
- OBC: Maximum 30 years
- SC/ST: Maximum 32 years
- PwD: Maximum 37 years
DRDO CVRDE Walk-in Interview 2026
The walk-in interview will be conducted on September 8 and September 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Candidates must complete mandatory registration on the NCVT/SCVT MIS portal before attending the interview. There is no separate application submission deadline.

DRDO CVRDE Selection Process 2026
The selection process includes shortlisting based on marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination, followed by a walk-in interview. Selected candidates may receive their joining letter at the venue.
The apprenticeship is training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. It does not provide a guarantee of employment after completion of the training.
