CVRDE, DRDO has announced 93 ITI Apprentice Trainee vacancies across 18 trades. Eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview on September 8 and 9, 2026.
The Combat Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (CVRDE), Avadi, Chennai, under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), has invited eligible candidates for ITI Apprentice Trainee positions.
The recruitment drive is being conducted for 93 indicative vacancies across 18 ITI trades. Eligible candidates can attend the walk-in interview on September 8 and 9, 2026, at CVRDE, Avadi.

DRDO CVRDE ITI Apprentice Eligibility
Candidates should have passed ITI in the relevant trade from an NCVT- or SCVT-recognised institute. Candidates whose ITI results were declared by August 30, 2026 are eligible for consideration. The age is calculated as on September 1, 2026.
The maximum age limit is 27 years for UR candidates, with relaxation applicable to eligible reserved-category candidates as per the notification.
DRDO CVRDE Apprentice Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their ITI marks and will then have to appear for the walk-in interview. The selection is for apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates should note that completing the apprenticeship does not guarantee employment with DRDO.
How to Apply for DRDO CVRDE ITI Apprentice 2026
Eligible candidates should complete their registration on the NCVT/SCVT MIS portal before attending the walk-in interview. Candidates should carry the required educational, ITI and other documents to the CVRDE venue.
