UP TGT PGT Syllabus 2026 Revised: Check New Exam Pattern and Subject-Wise PDF

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has published the UP TGT PGT Syllabus 2026 for candidates preparing for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) recruitment examinations. The revised syllabus covers subject-specific topics and General Studies, helping candidates plan their preparation according to the reported examination structure.

As outlined in recent syllabus updates, the written examination is expected to include 120 objective-type questions, comprising 90 subject-specific questions and 30 General Studies questions, for a total of 360 marks. The reported revised pattern also includes negative marking. Candidates should check the official commission website and the relevant recruitment notification to confirm the applicable pattern for their examination.

UP TGT PGT Exam Pattern 2026

The reported revised pattern combines subject knowledge with General Studies. Candidates preparing for either examination should allocate time to both sections rather than focusing exclusively on their chosen teaching subject.

The reported revised structure introduces a compulsory General Studies component and negative marking. However, candidates must verify the precise penalty for incorrect answers and the selection rules from the applicable official notification before finalising their preparation strategy.

UP TGT Subject-Wise Syllabus 2026

The UP TGT syllabus covers several teaching subjects. Candidates should select the syllabus corresponding to the subject for which they intend to appear and check the prescribed topics before starting preparation.

The commission's official syllabus should be used to confirm the complete subject-wise units and detailed topic distribution.
