CUET-PG 2026 Registration Closing Soon, Apply by 14 January

CUET-PG 2026 registration is nearing its final deadline, with the National Testing Agency urging eligible candidates to complete the application process on time. The online registration window for Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes will close on 14 January 2026. Candidates can apply only through the official website exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg.

NTA has clearly advised applicants not to wait until the last day, as heavy traffic on the portal may lead to technical issues or payment failures. Applications without successful fee payment will not be treated as complete.

CUET-PG 2026 Application Process and Important Dates

The CUET-PG 2026 application process is conducted entirely online and involves multiple mandatory steps. Candidates must carefully fill in personal and academic details, upload required documents, and pay the examination fee before final submission. Below are the officially announced CUET-PG 2026 dates that candidates must note carefully.

  • Last date to submit application and pay fee: 14 January 2026 (up to 11:50 pm)
  • CUET-PG 2026 correction window: 18 January to 20 January 2026
  • CUET-PG 2026 exam date: Expected in March 2026

During the correction window, applicants will be allowed to edit selected details in their application forms as per NTA guidelines. Candidates are advised to review all information carefully, as not all fields may be editable.

CUET-PG 2026 Exam Pattern and City Preference Details

CUET-PG 2026 will be conducted for 157 postgraduate subjects, making it one of the largest national-level PG entrance examinations in India. Nearly 200 universities are expected to participate in the admission process through CUET-PG scores.

Each question paper will have a duration of 90 minutes. While filling out the application form, candidates can choose up to four preferred exam cities, which helps in flexible allocation of examination centres. Final allotment, however, will depend on availability and administrative considerations.

CUET-PG 2026 Admission Purpose and Candidate Advisory

CUET-PG serves as a common entrance gateway for admission to postgraduate programmes offered by central universities, state universities, private universities, deemed universities, and other participating institutions across the country.

NTA has advised candidates to verify all personal, academic, and contact details before final submission. Applicants should also keep a printed copy of the confirmation page and fee receipt for future reference during counselling and admission stages.

Candidates who have not yet applied are encouraged to complete the CUET-PG 2026 registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute complications.
