CUET PG 2026, Over 85,000 Candidates Appear on 11 March

The National Testing Agency reported that around 85,200 candidates appeared for the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026 on 11 March 2026 across three examination shifts. The exam was conducted for subjects including Political Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Chemistry, with participation from international test centres such as Singapore and Washington.

The National Testing Agency announced that approximately **85,200 candidates appeared for the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026 examinations conducted on 11 March 2026. The entrance test was organised in three different shifts for multiple postgraduate subjects across exam centres in India and abroad.

 

CUET PG 2026 Shift-Wise Candidate Participation

The NTA released the shift-wise attendance data for the examination held on 11 March.

 

The exam covered several postgraduate subjects and recorded participation from thousands of candidates. Shift-wise details are listed below:

  • Shift I – Political Science
    • Candidates Appeared: 29,700
  • Shift II – Computer Science / Information Technology / Artificial Intelligence
    • Candidates Appeared: 32,300
  • Shift III – Chemistry
    • Candidates Appeared: 23,200

Overall, the combined attendance across all shifts reached approximately 85,200 candidates for the day.

 

International Participation in CUET PG 2026

The entrance examination also witnessed international participation, with candidates appearing from overseas exam centres. According to the testing agency, exam centres were operational in locations including:

  • Singapore
  • Washington

The availability of international centres allows candidates studying or residing abroad to participate in the national-level entrance test.

 

CUET PG 2026 Exam Conduct and Security Measures

The National Testing Agency stated that it continues to conduct the examination with strict security and transparency measures. Key features of the examination process include:

  • Computer-based test format
  • Secure examination centres
  • Real-time monitoring of exam activities
  • Standardised question papers across centres
