The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started conducting the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2026 from 06 March 2026 across multiple exam centres in India. The entrance test will continue until 27 March 2026 in computer-based test (CBT) mode for admission to postgraduate programmes in participating universities. - Shift 2: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM
- Shift 3: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Candidates are required to report at least one hour before the exam begins, and the entry gate closes before the start of the examination shift.
CUET PG 2026 Exam Pattern and Mode
The examination is conducted online and follows a standard pattern for most subjects. Before appearing for the test, candidates should be familiar with the structure of the question paper.

CUET PG 2026 Dress Code and Exam Day Guidelines
NTA has issued clear guidelines regarding the dress code to ensure smooth security checks at examination centres. Candidates must follow these instructions carefully on the exam day.
- Wear simple and comfortable clothing such as kurtas, shirts, or tops with trousers.
- Avoid metal jewellery, watches, belts, or heavy accessories.
- Do not wear clothes with metallic buttons or elaborate designs.
- Slippers or sandals are allowed; shoes are not permitted.
- Keep hairstyles simple and avoid large hair accessories.
Candidates must also carry the following documents to the examination centre:
- Printed CUET PG 2026 admit card
- Valid photo ID proof such as Aadhaar card or passport
Without these documents, entry to the examination hall will not be permitted
