CBSE has released the CTET February 2026 exam city intimation slip for registered candidates. The city slip only informs candidates about the exam city and is not the admit card. CTET February 2026 exam will be held on 8 February in two shifts in offline mode.
The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CTET February 2026 exam city intimation slip on its official website ctet.nic.in. Candidates who have successfully registered for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test can now check the city where their examination centre will be located. The city slips were issued on 23 January 2026 to help candidates plan travel arrangements ahead of the scheduled exam on 8 February 2026.
What Is the CTET City Intimation Slip?
The CTET city intimation slip is an advance information document that informs candidates about the exam city allotted to them. CBSE has clarified that this slip should not be treated as the CTET admit card. The document does not mention the exact exam centre name or address. These details will be provided later through the official admit card.
Difference Between CTET City Slip and Admit Card
Before downloading the slip, candidates should clearly understand how it differs from the admit card.
The CTET city intimation slip:
- Mentions only the exam city
- Is released well in advance
- Helps candidates plan travel and accommodation
The CTET admit card:
- Includes exam centre name and full address
- Contains reporting time, roll number, and instructions
- Is released closer to the exam date, usually a few days before the test
CBSE issues admit cards later to avoid security concerns related to early disclosure of exam centre locations.
How to Download CTET February 2026 City Slip?
Candidates can access the city slip by logging in through the official portal. The steps to download are outlined below. To download the CTET city slip:
- Visit ctet.nic.in
- Click on the link for CTET February 2026 Exam City Slip
- Enter application number, date of birth, and security code
- Submit the details to view the city slip
- Download and save the document for reference
Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details mentioned on the slip.
Important Instructions for Candidates
CBSE has stated that requests for change of exam city will not be accepted at this stage. However, if there is any discrepancy in personal details or paper selection, candidates must report it immediately to CTET authorities, as the same details will appear on the admit card. Candidates travelling from other cities have been advised not to finalise non-refundable travel plans until the admit card is released, as the exact exam centre location will be confirmed only then.
CTET February 2026 Exam Schedule
The CTET February 2026 examination will be conducted in offline mode on 8 February 2026 across multiple centres nationwide. The exam will be held in two shifts:
- Paper II: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
- Paper I: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
Candidates should continue to check ctet.nic.in regularly for updates regarding the CTET admit card and further exam-related instructions.
