CTET September 2026 notification has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The board has started the online registration process for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for candidates aspiring to become teachers in central government schools.
According to the official schedule, the CTET September 2026 exam will be conducted on September 6, 2026 (Sunday) for both Paper I and Paper II. Candidates can complete the application process through the official websites at ctet.nic.in and cbse.gov.in.

The CTET Registration 2026 has began on May 11, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their forms till June 10, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. CBSE has stated that an additional examination date of September 5, 2026, may also be used if the number of applications increases significantly.

CTET September 2026 Eligibility and Paper Details
CTET is conducted for candidates seeking eligibility to teach in schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other institutions accepting CTET scores. The examination will be conducted across 132 cities in 27 languages throughout India. The exam structure includes two papers:

CTET September 2026 Qualifying Marks and Recruitment
As per CBSE guidelines, candidates securing 60 per cent or more marks in the examination will be considered CTET qualified. However, qualifying CTET does not guarantee teacher recruitment.
