The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the CTET 2026 exam city slip for candidates appearing in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The city slip will provide advance information about the exam city allotted to candidates, helping them plan travel and accommodation arrangements. The city intimation slip will be issued ahead of the official CTET admit card.
CTET 2026 Exam City Slip Details
The exam city slip will mention the state and city where the candidate’s examination centre will be located. It will not include the exact exam centre address, reporting time, or shift details, which will be mentioned on the admit card. Candidates must note that the city slip will not serve as a substitute for the CTET admit card.
How the Exam City Slip Will Help Candidates?
Once released, the exam city slip will allow candidates to:
- Know their exam city in advance
- Plan travel and accommodation accordingly
- Avoid last-minute confusion before the examination
This will be especially helpful for candidates whose exam centres are located outside their home cities.
CTET Admit Card 2026: What Comes Next
After the release of the city slip, CBSE will issue the CTET 2026 admit card, which will contain complete details such as:
- Exact exam centre address
- Exam date and shift timing
- Important exam-day instructions
Candidates will be required to carry the admit card along with a valid photo ID on the exam day.
Importance of CTET for Teaching Aspirants
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will remain a mandatory qualification for candidates aspiring to teach in central government schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas and other CBSE-affiliated institutions. Candidates will be advised to monitor official announcements regularly and download all documents well before the examination date.
