The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the CTET 2026 provisional answer key for the February session soon on ctet.nic.in, along with candidates’ OMR response sheets. Candidates can download the key to estimate scores and raise objections online once the link is active
The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 provisional answer key for the February session is anticipated to be released shortly on the official CTET website – ctet.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the CTET Paper I and Paper II exams held on 7 and 8 February 2026 should monitor the portal for the answer key and scanned OMR response sheet downloads.
CTET 2026 Answer Key: What to Expect?
The CBSE-conducted CTET 2026 provisional answer key will allow candidates to:
- Estimate their probable scores by matching attempted answers with the key.
- Download their OMR response sheet to review the answers marked in the exam.
- Identify discrepancies and prepare to raise challenges via the objection window once activated
The answer key is expected to be released soon — media reports indicate it could be available any time on the official portal, and candidates have expressed anticipation amid slight delays from previous schedules
How to Download CTET 2026 Provisional Answer Key?
When the key becomes live, follow these steps to download the CTET answer key and OMR sheet:
- Visit the official CTET website: ctet.nic.in.
- Look for the link labelled “CTET Answer Key 2026” or “Provisional Answer Key & Response Sheet.”
- Click the link to open the login page.
- Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth/Password.
- Submit the credentials to view the provisional answer key and OMR response sheet on screen.
- Download and save/print the PDFs for reference.
Once downloaded, candidates can estimate their CTET scores using the official marking scheme and prepare for subsequent stages such as the final answer key and result declaration.
Objection Window and Next Steps
After the provisional answer key is issued, the CBSE will typically open an objection window (usually a short period of 2–3 days) during which candidates can challenge any answers they believe are incorrect. Objections must be submitted online through the CTET portal, sometimes with a prescribed fee per question challenged. Following review of all challenges, the authorities will release the final answer key. The CTET result for 2026 will then be prepared based on this final key and published on ctet.nic.in in due course
